On Monday morning, Notre Dame landed a verbal commitment from 2024 three-star linebacker Bodie Kahoun. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Kahoun chose the Irish over North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and 12 other Power Five offers.

Last week, Kahoun, a junior at Roanoke (Va.) Patrick Henry, had scheduled four official visits: to Notre Dame, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. But instead of going on another tour of schools, Kahoun locked in his pledge with the Irish 2024 class.

Kahoun last visited Notre Dame for the Blue-Gold Game on April 22. He was also in town for s spring practice on March 22. He will return to South Bend on an official visit the weekend of June 9.

“They have done a good job of developing a personal relationship,” Kahoun previously told Blue & Gold. “Their message is that I am a good fit for them as a student-athlete and their locker room, and I can make an impact.”

Since the start of March, Kahoun unofficially visited North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech twice each. He has also reported past unofficial visits to Virginia, NC State, Duke, Utah, Wake Forest, Penn State and South Carolina. The latter three schools never offered him a scholarship.

The On3 Industry Ranking evaluates Kahoun as the No. 429 overall player, No. 45 linebacker and No. 6 prospect in Virginia. He has an 88.83 rating.
