How to watch Notre Dame football vs. Oregon State in the Sun Bowl
Notre Dame is used to playing on national TV, and in the 2023 Sun Bowl, the Irish get to do it one more time. Second-year head coach Marcus Freeman will look to secure his first 10-win season against Oregon State at 2 p.m. ET on Friday in El Paso, Texas, and the game will be televised on CBS.
Brad Nessler (play-by-play), Gary Danielson (analyst) and Jenny Dell (sideline reporter) will have the call from El Paso. That’s usually CBS’ crew for Southeastern Conference games, or at least it was, as the network’s media rights deal with the conference expired after the 2023 season. Nessler, Danielson and Dell will likely transition to the Big Ten, who struck a seven-year media rights deal with CBS — along with Fox and NBC — that begins in 2024.
The Irish did not play on CBS during the regular season. They were broadcast on NBC six times (totaling a 5-1 record), exclusively Peacock once (1-0), ABC four times (2-2) and the Pac-12 Network once (1-0)
