ESPN’s College GameDay was in South Bend for Notre Dame’s key matchup with Ohio State Sept. 23. And the other top college football preview show, Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff, is making its way to Notre Dame this Saturday in the battle for the Jeweled Shillelagh.

Rob Stone hosts the show and will be joined by former Ohio State head coach and ex-Fighting Irish receivers coach (1996-2000) Urban Meyer, former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, ex-Alabama running back Mark Ingram and former USC quarterback Matt Leinart. The show will begin Saturday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. ET.

USC comes into the contest fresh off a late victory over Arizona and ranks No. 9 nationally in the AP poll with its 6-0 record. Meanwhile, Notre Dame is reeling, having lost two of its last three contests. Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish have a 5-2 record and rank as the No. 21 team in America in the same poll.

The USC vs. Notre Dame game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen live on NBC.

Quote of the day

“He’s one of those guys that are as good as advertised. There’s a reason why he’s the Heisman Trophy winner. He is very elite with arm talent, decision-making, and ability to extend plays. He is a well-rounded, very talented football player. Our defense will have its work cut out for them for sure.”
