Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic class of 2025 quarterback Blake Hebert visited Notre Dame this weekend and picked up an offer from the Fighting Irish while on campus.

Notre Dame quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli evaluated the 6-2.5, 213-pounder during the spring evaluation period in May. The four-star prospect set up a trip to see South Bend and return the favor of a visit and picked up his offer during a conversation with Irish head coach Marcus Freeman. Hebert took to Twitter to announce the news.

Hebert comes from the same high school that produced Irish freshman linebacker Preston Zinter. During his 12-game sophomore season, Hebert completed 111 of 185 passes for 1,748 yards with 24 touchdowns and 1 interception for Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic.

He ranks as the nation’s No. 187 overall prospect and No. 13 quarterback per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3’s own rankings view Hebert a bit higher, listing him as the No. 65 player and No. 6 quarterback in the land.

Penn State, Virginia, Rutgers, Clemson, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Iowa, Purdue, Minnesota, Boston College, Virginia Tech and North Carolina are among the other schools on Hebert’s offer sheet.

It’s early in Hebert’s recruitment, but Penn State is considered the leader for him according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). He’s visited the Nittany Lions three times, including just a couple weeks ago. Rutgers and Virginia are running second and third, respectively.

On3 director of scouting and rankings Charles Power wrote the following of Hebert last month after a 2025 rankings update:

“Hebert looks to be one of the tools-iest and most physically-developed quarterbacks thus far in the 2025 cycle and debuts at No. 66 overall,” Power wrote. “The Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic quarterback is a big, strong-armed passer with high-end athleticism and movement skills. Hebert is close to 6-foot-3, 210 pounds and recently posted an electronically-timed 4.64-second 40-yard dash at Under Armour’s New Jersey regional – in a driving rain.

“The physical tools he flashes on his sophomore film are even more impressive. Hebert has a plus arm at this stage. The ball jumps out of his 10-inch hand. He easily pushes the ball downfield and throws with considerable zip over the middle of the field. Simply put, the arm and athleticism look to be highly translatable entering his junior season.”
