FIVE CAL PLAYERS TO KNOW
QB Jack Plummer (13): The grad student makes his second Notre Dame Stadium start in as many seasons. Plummer was Purdue’s starter in a 27-13 Irish win last September, but finished the game on the bench. He transferred to Cal this offseason and has thrown for 546 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in two games.
RB Jaydn Ott (6): Cal’s leading rusher in both games this year, Ott has 156 yards on 24 carries with one touchdown. He won the lead back job as a freshman.

WR Jeremiah Hunter (3): The junior is Cal’s active leader in catches and has 11 receptions for 157 yards so far this season. He averaged 18.5 yards per catch in 2021.
DE Xavier Carlton (44): A Utah transfer, Carlton has a team-high 2.5 sacks this year. He played two seasons for the Utes, appearing in 26 games with four starts.
LB Jackson Sirmon (8): A grad transfer from Washington, Sirmon has a team-high 17 tackles so far this season, adding a pass breakup and a forced fumble. He made 147 tackles in 33 games (16 starts) for the Huskies, with 92 of those stops coming last season. His dad, Peter, is Cal’s defensive coordinator.
