Notre Dame opened as a three-point favorite on Circa Sports for its Nov. 9 matchup with Florida State. Approximately 24 hours later, the line moved dramatically in favor of the Irish.

As of Sunday, the Irish are now five-point favorites. The two-point shift was tied for the largest among Circa Sports’ Games of the Year, alongside Wisconsin -11 vs. Michigan (which opened at -9) and Ole Miss -21 vs. Mississippi State (-19).

Bettors liked Notre Dame -3 against Florida State, despite the Seminoles’ 13-0 record last season before a shell of that team lost 63-3 to Georgia in the Orange Bowl.

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell reloaded in the transfer portal this offseason. He acquired seven expected starters, including former Oregon State and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei.

“They were explaining to me how I’m ‘that guy’ and a perfect fit for their program. They don’t have anyone like me on the field — and that no college does. Hearing that from them made me very excited and happy.”
