Notre Dame to face seven Biletnikoff Award watch listers in 2023
The watch list for the Biletnikoff Award came out Monday. Seven of the 49 players nominated for the hardware that goes to the best receiver in college football play on teams Notre Dame has to face in 2023.
Here are those players and what they’ve accomplished to this point in their respective careers. Players are ordered chronologically based on when Notre Dame plays the teams they suit up for.
NC State WR Bradley Rozner
- Class: Graduate student (transfer from Rice)
- Height, weight: 6-5, 204
- Career statistics: 101 receptions, 1,676 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns
- 2022 statistics: 44 receptions, 876 receiving yards, 10 touchdowns
Notable: Rozner played in the junior college ranks at Cisco College in Texas before spending the last four seasons at Rice. He has never played against Notre Dame.
Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka
- Class: Junior
- Height, weight: 6-1, 206
- Career statistics: 83 receptions, 1,342 receiving yards, 10 touchdowns
- 2022 statistics: 74 receptions, 1,151 receiving yards, 10 touchdowns
Notable: Egbuka had nine catches for 90 yards and a touchdown in Ohio State’s 21-10 season-opening win over Notre Dame in Columbus last September. Egbuka also rushed 11 times for 87 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.
Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
- Class: Junior
- Height, weight: 6-4, 205 pounds
- Career statistics: 88 receptions, 1,402 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns
- 2022 statistics: 77 receptions, 1,263 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns
Notable: Harrison Jr. was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award in 2022. Tennessee’s Jalin Hyatt took home the trophy. Harrison Jr. began the year with five catches for 56 yards in the season opener vs. Notre Dame. The Irish held him in check for his fourth-worst receiving yards total of the season.

Duke WR Jalon Calhoun
- Class: Graduate student
- Height, weight: 5-11, 191
- Career statistics: 203 receptions, 2,360 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns
- 2022 statistics: 62 receptions, 873 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns
Notable: Calhoun has gone up against Notre Dame twice. He had three catches for 11 yards when the Irish beat the Blue Devils 38-7 in 2019. He had 5 catches for 62 yards when Notre Dame beat Duke 27-13 in the 2020 season opener.
Louisville WR Jamari Thrash
- Class: Graduate student (Georgia State transfer)
- Height, weight: 6-0, 180
- Career statistics: 104 receptions, 1,752 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns
- 2022 statistics: 61 receptions, 1,122 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns
Notable: Thrash topped 130 receiving yards in a single game four times in 2022, including a high-water mark of 213 vs. Charlotte on Sept. 17.
USC WR Dorian Singer
- Class: Junior (Arizona transfer)
- Height, weight: 6-0, 180
- Career statistics: 84 receptions, 1,406 receiving yards, 6 touchdowns
- 2022 statistics: 66 receptions, 1,105 receiving yards, 6 touchdowns
Notable: Singer eclipsed a single-game receiving yards total of 140 yards three times in 2022. He had nine catches for 176 yards and a touchdown in his best game of the season, a 31-20 Wildcats loss to Washington State.
USC WR Tahj Washington
- Class: Graduate student (Memphis transfer)
- Height, weight: 5-10, 175
- Career statistics: 150 receptions, 2,162 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns
- 2022 statstics: 50 receptions, 785 receiving yards, 6 touchdowns
Notable: Washington is in his third season with USC. Last year, he had three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown in USC’s 38-27 victory over Notre Dame in the regular season finale.
