Six players from the University of Notre Dame have been selected to participate in the NFL’s 2024 Pro Bowl; Indianapolis Colts offensive guard Quenton Nelson and Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton from the AFC and Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, Cowboys offensive guard Zack Martin, Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams and Seattle Seahawks safety Julian Love from the NFC.

Nelson, Hamilton, Aubrey and Martin were named starters, but the goal for all of those players is to not be available for the Pro Bowl. The Cowboys and Ravens have clinched playoff spots and hope to keep winning on their way to the Super Bowl, and the Colts can clinch a playoff spot if they beat the Houston Texans this weekend. Williams’ Rams are also in the playoffs, but Love’s Seahawks have less than a 50 percent chance of clinching a spot in the final week of the regular season according to NFL.com.

Nelson became the 15th player since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970 to make a Pro Bowl roster in six consecutive seasons to begin a career according to a press release from the Colts. Martin, meanwhile, accomplished the same feat from 2014-19. He did not make the Pro Bowl in 2020, but this is his ninth overall selection in the last 10 years.

Hamilton and Williams are 2022 NFL Draft mates making their first Pro Bowl appearances in their second season in the league. Hamilton has started 15 games for the Ravens this season. He has 4 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. Two of his INTs came in a rout of the San Francisco 49ers that wrestled away “best team in the NFL” status for the Ravens. Williams has 15 total touchdowns in 12 games played for the Rams. He scored 17 in his final season at Notre Dame in 2021.

Love’s first season in Seattle has been a productive one. He has 4 interceptions like Hamilton as well as a career-high 10 passes defended. This is his first appearance as a Pro Bowler.

Aubrey is one of the greatest individual stories in the NFL this season. He did not play for the football team at Notre Dame when he was in school a decade ago. He played soccer. As an NFL rookie this year, he hasn’t missed any of his field goal attempts. He’s 35-of-35, including 9-of-9 from 50-plus yards. He’s made 44-of-47 extra point tries.
