Notre Dame releases depth chart for UNLV game

Notre Dame has released its depth chart for its Saturday game against UNLV (2:30 p.m. ET, Peacock). Here’s a position-by-position rundown of the starters and backups listed. Any changes from the previous week are noted.

Quarterback

Starter: Drew Pyne (Jr.)

No. 2: Steve Angeli (Fr.)

Running back

Starter(s): Chris Tyree (Jr.), or Audric Estime (So.), or Logan Diggs (So.)

Tyree has started three games, Estime two and Diggs one.

Wide receiver

Starter: Jayden Thomas (So.)

No. 2: Matt Salerno (Gr.)

Starter: Lorenzo Styles (So.)

Sophomore Mitchell Evans made his 2022 debut vs. Stanford after missing the first five games of the season with a foot injury. He played 19 snaps, second-most among Notre Dame tight ends.

Three-technique tackle

Starter: Jayson Ademilola (Gr.)

No. 2: Chris Smith (Gr.)

Ademilola left the game vs. Stanford in the first half due to injury and did not return.

Nose tackle

Starter: Howard Cross III (Sr.)

No. 2: Gabriel Rubio (So.)

Smith earned the start vs. Stanford over Cross, who missed the prior game with an ankle injury. Cross still played 35 snaps.

Will linebacker

Starter: Marist Liufau (Sr.)

No. 2Jack Kiser (Sr.) or Prince Kollie (So.)

Kollie played a season-high 21 snaps in the Stanford game.

Grad student and team captain Bo Bauer is out for the season due to a knee injury suffered in practice Oct. 18. He played in five games this year, starting one.

Left safety

Starter(s): Houston Griffith (Gr.) or DJ Brown (Gr.)

Griffith started vs. Stanford and earned the nod each of the past two weeks. Brown started the first four games. Griffith played 48 snaps to Brown’s 37 against Stanford.

Right safety

Starter(s): Brandon Joseph (Sr.) or Ramon Henderson (Jr.)

Joseph has started all six games. Henderson left the Stanford game with an injury.

Cornerback

Starter(s): Cam Hart (Sr.) or TaRiq Bracy (Gr.)

No. 2: Jaden Mickey (Fr.)

Cornerback

Starter(s): Benjamin Morrison (Fr.)

No. 2: Clarence Lewis (Jr.)

Bracy and Mickey did not play vs. Stanford. Henderson started in the slot, with Morrison and Hart outside. Lewis spent most of his time as the slot corner after Henderson exited.
