Blue & Gold says…

EA Sports is high on Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama and Oregon. All four of those programs have real estate in the top five of both lists. Notre Dame is knocking on the door of defensive top five, but what held the Irish back in 2023 is what EA Sports believes prevents them from being elite in 2023; the offense is good, not great.

All eyes are on Notre Dame’s season-opening matchup against Texas A&M, which is 65 days away. EA Sports would lead you to believe the Irish have a slight edge in that game because of the two teams’ defenses. Notre Dame’s is one of the best in the country with its overall rating of 90. The Aggies’ defense is closer to that top 25 floor with an overall rating of 84. Both teams have an offensive rating of 85.
