Nobody in college football has a better chance of winning all of its remaining games than the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI).

The FPI is giving the Irish a 21.6 percent chance of finishing the regular season 12-0.

According to ESPN, the FPI is “a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season.” The actual FPI decimal figure indicates how many points above or below average a team is.

Fighting Irish quote of the day

“When you talk to him, you become a bigger fan. A way bigger fan. He is as good of a guy as there is. It’s no wonder they’re recruiting well. The program is [going up] with him. They’re only just beginning, in my opinion, of where they’re going with him as a head coach.”
