Newsstand: Where Notre Dame football players rank in ESPN Top 100 for 2023
ESPN released its list of the top 100 players of the 2023 college football season. Four of them were from Notre Dame. Offensive tackle Joe Alt came in at No. 9, safety Xavier Watts checked in at No. 25, running back Audric Estimé was listed at No. 44 and quarterback Sam Hartman snuck in at No. 99.
Alt was the No. 1 offensive lineman. Estimé was the No. 4 running back. Watts was the No. 4 defensive back. Hartman was the No. 16 quarterback. Alt, Estimé and Hartman are transitioning into the next phases of their respective careers. Watts, who was named the winner of the Bronko Nagurski Trophy as the national defensive player of the year, will be back with the Irish defense in 2024.
