Notre Dame announces kickoff time for Navy game at Metlife Stadium
For the third consecutive season, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will face the Navy Midshipmen on neutral field. This year’s game will kick off at Metlife Stadium at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN or ABC on Oct. 26, the university announced Thursday afternoon.
The kickoff time announcement comes a day after Notre Dame came out with game times for all of its home games. The Navy game is currently the only matchup on the Irish schedule set to kick off at noon. Here’s a look at the entire schedule.

Last year, Notre Dame beat Navy 42-3 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. In 2022, the Irish barely held on to beat the Midshipmen 35-32. Notre Dame last played Navy in East Rutherford, N.J., in 2010. The Irish lost that game 35-17. It’s one of two losses for the Irish to the Midshipmen in the last 13 meetings.

Notre Dame has won the last six meetings. The last time Navy beat the Irish was Nov. 5, 2016, in Jacksonville, Fla. The Midshipmen won, 28-27. Overall, Notre Dame has an 82-13-1 record against Navy including vacated victories. Most of the games have been played at a neutral site. Notre Dame has a 49-8-1 record against the Midshipmen at neutral sites.
The last time Notre Dame faced Army and Navy in the same season was 2016. The Irish also played both teams in 2010. Notre Dame did not go 2-0 against the service academies in either of those years. Navy won both times. The last time Notre Dame beat both Army and Navy in the same season was 2006. The Irish will have the chance to do it for the first time since then when they face the Black Knights at Yankee Stadium on Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
