Newsstand: Brother of former Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah found dead
Tragedy struck the family of a Notre Dame football great this week.
Joshua Emmanuel Owusu-Koramoah, brother of former Fighting Irish linebacker and current Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, was found dead inside a burned residence in Hampton, Va., Tuesday morning. According to The Daily Press, police are investigating the cause of death for possible homicide.
The Owusu-Koramoah brothers were only a year apart. Joshua was 23. Jeremiah is 22. They played together at Bethel High School. Joshua went on to play at William & Mary. Per The Daily Press, he was supposed to meet his friend at a local Cracker Barrel for breakfast the morning of the house fire.
Jeremiah was just seen in South Bend at Notre Dame’s pro day late last month. The 2020 Butkus Award winner recorded 142 total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks in his final two seasons with the Irish. He recorded 76 total tackles and forced two fumbles in his rookie season in Cleveland.
