Notre Dame is back in South Bend for its last home game of 2022. The No. 18 Fighting Irish (7-3) host the Boston College Eagles (3-7) at 2:30 p.m. ET (NBC). Follow along below for live updates.

Boston College at Notre Dame live updates: First quarter
• Boston College wins the toss and defers. The Notre Dame offense will be on the field first.
• Sophomore running back Logan Diggs rattles off a 51-yard run on the first play of the game, but the Irish stall in the red zone and settle for a field goal. Graduate student Blake Grupe is good from 26 yards out.
SCORE: Irish 3, Eagles 0 with 12:50 left in the first quarter
• Freshman corner Benjamin Morrison intercepts Boston College QB Emmett Morehead on third down to set up the Irish on the 20-yard line. The Irish run five times and score on a strong second effort from Diggs on third and goal.
SCORE: Irish 10, Eagles 0 with 10:05 left in the first quarter
• Boston College goes three and out on its second possession.
• The Irish cruise down the field with an impressive passing display by Pyne. They cap another scoring drive with a one-yard touchdown pass to graduate student Matt Salerno.
SCORE: Irish 17, Eagles 0 with 4:15 left in the first quarter
• Morrison comes away with his second INT of the day and his fourth in the last three games on a downfield shot into the end zone.
Second quarter
• The Irish drive into Boston College but settle for a 41-yard field goal. Grupe is good with the wind at his back.
SCORE: Irish 20, Eagles 0 with 14:07 left in the second quarter
• Graduate student Chris Smith and senior Jack Kiser force a fumble, and senior defensive end Isaiah Foskey recovers it. The Irish get the ball back on the plus side of the field.
• Pyne is spotted short of the line to gain on a third down scramble. The Irish line up with Mitchell Evans behind center for a sneak on fourth and inches, but graduate student right guard Josh Lugg is flagged for a false start. It forces Notre Dame to settle for a field goal. Grupe is good from 46 yards out.
SCORE: Irish 23, Eagles 0 with 8:27 left in the second quarter.
• The Irish get the ball back on a backward-pass that’s ruled a fumble. Senior linebacker Marist Liufau scoops and scores, but the original call on the field was an incomplete pass. After review, the Irish are given the ball at the spot of the recovery, BC’s 42-yard line.
• The Irish need just four plays, all rushes, to go 42 yards. Sophomore running back Audric Estimé caps off the drive with a seven-yard score.

SCORE: Irish 30, Eagles 0 with 3:04 left in the second quarter
• After a 28-yard punt return from Salerno, the Irish score on another quick drive. Junior running back Chris Tyree walks in from 12 yards out. He had a 26-yard scamper earlier in the drive.
SCORE: Irish 37, Eagles 0 with 1:14 left in the second quarter
• Foskey breaks the all-time Notre Dame sack record on the final play of the half.
Third quarter
• With the snow intensifying, Morrison intercepts Morehead for a third time.
• The Irish capitalize on the turnover with another Estimé rushing score. This one is from six yards out.
SCORE: Irish 44, Eagles 0 with 8:54 left in the third quarter.
• On fourth and 16, the Irish sack Morehead for a loss of eight. It was just the second time the eagles entered Notre Dame territory.
Fourth quarter
• The Irish are stopped on fourth and 1 from the Boston College 7-yard line. Notre Dame counters with a defensive stop to get the ball back with 6:12 left.
• Freshman running back Gi’Bran Payne gets the first two carries of his career in garbage time, but Pyne remains at quarterback. Freshman Steve Angeli stays on the sideline.
• Eight months after tearing his ACL, junior defensive lineman Aidan Keanaaina made tackles on three straight plays on Boston College’s final possession.
• Freshmen linebackers Josh Burnham and Jaylen Sneed combined for a tackle for loss on the final play of the game.
