The time has come to showcase skills for two of the most important players from the 2021 Notre Dame roster.

Former Fighting Irish quarterback Jack Coan and wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. will take part in drills during NFL Combine workouts Thursday. Coan and Austin connected 48 times for 888 yards and seven touchdowns last season. Austin led the team in receiving yards and tied for a team lead in touchdown receptions. Coan passed for 3,150 yards with 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Both are considered fringe Day 3 draft picks as April’s big weekend draws near. The combine is a chance to enhance the way they are seen by team scouts, coaches and other front office personnel. Come back to BlueandGold.com for live updates on Coan and Austin’s performances Thursday as well as those of running back Kyren Williams on Friday, defensive lineman Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa on Sunday and safety Kyle Hamilton on Sunday.
