Carlsbad (Calif.) High class of 2024 quarterback Julian Sayin had been telling the media for several weeks that he was planning to get back to Notre Dame for another visit. He booked those plans on Wednesday night.

Sayin, the No. 21 overall prospect and No. 4 pro-style quarterback per the 2024 On3 Consensus, will visit Notre Dame April 7, he announced on Twitter.

It will be Sayin’s third time visiting South Bend. He made it out to campus last June and returned in October to see the Fighting Irish knock off USC 31-16.

A day after his Notre Dame visit, Sayin will make it to Michigan to check out Ann Arbor. On April 1 — a week before the Michigan trip — Sayin will take his second overall visit to Georgia.

Notre Dame battling powerhouse programs for Sayin

Sayin has no shortage of options when it comes to choosing a school. Oregon, Texas, USC, Notre Dame, Florida State, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Miami and Penn State are among the offers for the 6-1, 185-pound rising junior.

When could he make a decision? Potentially pretty early.

“I am looking to commit to a school in September or October,” Sayin recently told On3’s Chad Simmons. “I want to lock in my decision, get guys in my class to join me and start to build that 2024 recruiting class. Getting my decision out of the way early is what I plan to do.”

Sayin was the first class of 2024 quarterback offer to receive an offer from Notre Dame. He visited a few weeks after receiving his offer and loved his return visit last fall.

“It was important for me to go back there for a game and see the town of South Bend on a game day and how special it is on campus,” he previously told Blue & Gold. “It was definitely crazy, especially since it was a rivalry game at night. The light show was really cool too. The student section was awesome.”

The four-star prospect enjoyed his conversations with offensive coordinator Tommy Rees during the visit and what he saw from Rees’ offense.

“He was saying how special the atmosphere was when they play USC,” Sayin said. “I like talking to him; he’s easy to talk with.

“I like his offensive scheme. They mix it up and will go shotgun and under center. He called a great game and were able to get the ball to Kyren Williams and their playmakers.”

There is no clear leader for Sayin according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Texas, Notre Dame, USC, Oregon and UCLA are listed with equal odds of 13.8 percent.

Sayin is committed to playing in the 2024 Under Armour All-America Game.
