Does Notre Dame lead for Greathouse?

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the answer is a resounding yes. Notre Dame sits at 96.1 percent chance to land the four-star talent, but we won’t know for sure until he announces his choice.

On3’s RPM was released to the public in early December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits and historical trends.

In June, Greathouse visited four schools.

Oklahoma got the first official visit June 3. The following weekend, the 6-2, 220-pounder made it to South Carolina. And on June 17, Notre Dame was official visit No. 3.

But right before his South Carolina official, he made a stop in at the University of Texas to see the local school. Greathouse was also expected to officially visit Texas at the end of the month, but he ended up playing in a 7-on-7 tournament the final weekend of June. It’s the local program he’s most familiar with and has visited on a handful of occasions, so using an official there wasn’t crucial.

Greathouse has kept his recruitment close to his vest. Three On3 insiders have given their best guesses as to where he’ll end up — and all of the selections are in for Notre Dame. Blue & Gold’s own Mike Singer logged his prediction in favor of the Irish for Greathouse in early May, while On3’s Sam Spiegelman and Gerry Hamilton made the same picks at a later date.

Along with his top four, Greathouse also held offers from the likes of Penn State, USC, Oregon, Baylor and Michigan.

Greathouse has an NIL Valuation of $128,000, which slots him at No. 109 in the high school football NIL rankings. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
