Try to find someone who’s picking Army to beat Notre Dame straight up. You probably can’t.

Blue & Gold found picks for the No. 6 Fighting Irish’s game against No. 19 Army from 22 pundits across seven different national media outlets. All 22 are picking Notre Dame to win outright.

Here’s a look at all of the national picks.

Bleacher Report: Notre Dame 28, Army 19

David Kenyon: The short version is Notre Dame’s defense should rule the evening. But how about Army’s physical group? While the competition level is lower for Army, only one opponent has surpassed 14 points. This is an informative matchup about ND’s offense and Army’s upside.

Pro Football Focus

Max Chadwick: Notre Dame 31, Army 14
“Army’s offense has struggled in its last couple of games, averaging just 17 points against North Texas and Air Force. Those are two well below-average defenses at the Group of Five level, making it unlikely they’ll get back on track against one of the nation’s 10 best defenses in Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish win convincingly in Yankee Stadium and must only beat USC to get into the playoff.”

Dalton Wasserman: Notre Dame 35, Army 13
The Black Knights being unable to score more than 14 points in their last game against North Texas is concerning. Notre Dame has hit its stride on both sides of the ball, and Army hasn’t seen anything close to its talent level.”

ESPN’s Greg McElroy: Fighting Irish

McElroy: “I think Notre Dame rolls in this game. I don’t expect it to be super competitive. I think they’ll run away at the end. And I just, unless this game goes completely perfect to script for the Army Black Knights, I don’t see how they keep this thing close.”

FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt: Fighting Irish

Klatt: “Normally when a team plays like Army or Navy or Air Force, one of these academies, it’s like ‘Man this is so difficult to prepare for.’ That’s one of the talking points going into those games. But Notre Dame does it so often that I don’t think it’s as big of a factor in this matchup as I would in other matchups.”
