Notre Dame football score predictions: Fighting Irish vs. Miami national picks
Notre Dame faces Miami (Ohio) at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in South Bend. Despite the Irish losing to another Mid-American Conference school in Week 2, the national experts like them to roll over the RedHawks in Week 4.
Here’s what the experts are saying about Notre Dame vs. Miami (Ohio).
Associated Press: Notre Dame 35, Miami 13
Ralph D. Russo: “Irish are four-touchdown favorites at home against a MAC team. What could possibly go wrong?”

Bill Bender: “Notre Dame knows the assignment now. After the Week 2 loss to Northern Illinois, the Irish have to blow teams out the rest of the way. Miami has managed 11 points per game in losses to Northwestern and Cincinnati, and they allow 182.5 rushing yards per game on 5.6 yards per carry. The Irish should be able to have success with that around Riley Leonard, and Jeremiyah Love – who averages 8.0 yards per carry. The defense will force two turnovers, too, in front of the home crowd. The Irish won the last meeting 52-17 in 2017.”
Bleacher Report: Notre Dame 45, Miami 10
David Kenyon: “Notre Dame learned its lesson about #MACtion, right? The dominant effort at Purdue was such a great response after such a disappointing loss, so the concern level around the Fighting Irish shouldn’t be terribly high.”

Douglas Farmer: In that blowout [win over Purdue], the Irish lost two starting offensive linemen in center Ashton Craig and right guard Billy Schrauth. They are replaced by veterans with starting experience, Pat Coogan at center and Rocco Spindler at right guard, but Coogan has never started at center, and that is thus a new fulcrum next to Spindler.

That was all known when this market opened with Notre Dame favored by 27 points on Sunday, the number pushing up to -28.5 at some books. Some advanced metrics would argue this game should be north of -30, so it can be assumed these two injuries have been baked into this spread.
An argument can be made they should have been baked in further when realizing the Irish have had little success throwing the ball this season, very much reliant on the run.
