How to watch Notre Dame football game at Syracuse

Get your morning tailgates ready. Notre Dame’s first noon ET kickoff of the season is Saturday at Syracuse. It will be the first time the Irish have played in that window since the Sept. 25, 2021 Shamrock Series game against Wisconsin in Chicago.

The game will be televised on ABC. It’s the first of two noon kickoffs in three weeks.

Any basic cable package or streaming platform includes ABC. It will also be available on Watch ESPN, which requires login information for a cable subscription to access.

ABC’s broadcast team for the game is Joe Tessitore (play-by-play), Greg McElroy (analyst) and Katie George (reporter). That trio last called a Notre Dame game on Sept 5, 2021, when the Irish opened the season at Florida State.

This is Notre Dame’s third game on ABC of the 2022 season. The network has carried all three of its non-NBC games and could get a fourth when the Irish play Navy in Baltimore Nov. 12. That game will be on either ABC or ESPN. The Nov. 26 regular season finale has not yet been assigned a channel but has often been on ABC in the past.

Notre Dame’s previous two ABC games this year were its opener at Ohio State and the Sept. 24 road contest against North Carolina. The former drew 10.53 viewers, which stands as the third-largest audience for a college football game this year. Alabama vs. Tennessee (Oct. 15) is the most-watched game this year, with 11.56 million viewers. Alabama at Texas (Sept. 10) is second.

The Irish’s ABC game vs. North Carolina drew 3.46 million viewers. Their most-watched game on NBC this year was a 24-17 win over California Sept. 17 that had 2.91 viewers.
