Only two schools have a higher 2026 recruiting class blue-chip ratio than Notre Dame — Alabama and LSU. The Crimson Tide’s percentage is 100. LSU is at 90 percent. Notre Dame is tied with Texas A&M at 88.24 percent after Wednesday’s commitment from offensive lineman Grayson McKeough from Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle College High.

Blue-chip ratio is determined by the percentage of four-and five-star prospects that make up a school’s entire recruiting class. Notre Dame has 14 four-stars and one five-star committed in the current class. There are 17 total commits in the Fighting Irish’s class.

Alabama has seven five-star commits and one four-star in a seven-player current class. LSU has seven four-stars and two five-stars in a current class of 10 commits. Texas A&M does not have any five-star commits, but 15 of the 17 are four-stars.

The Irish rank fifth nationally in On3’s 2026 Industry Rankings. USC is first followed by LSU, Georgia and Ohio State. There is still plenty of time for the Irish to make up ground, and that is expected. Notre Dame is in the mix for several recruiting targets who will make their collegiate decisions soon.
