NHL development camps are a way to introduce players who are already a part of professional organizations and those who will likely be there someday to the rigors of playing at the highest level. They’re conducted by pro coaches and sometimes even former pro players.

Bavaro, Pierson and Primeau all announced decisions to transfer to the Irish this offseason. Rolston, Boltmann, Janicke and Slaggert were a part of an Irish team that was one win away from the Frozen Four this past season, as were Karashik and Stastney. Those two have moved on to the pros.
