Notre Dame linebacker JD Bertrand shares senior goals after breakout 2021 season
Rising senior linebacker JD Bertrand was arguably the biggest surprise on the Notre Dame football team last season. As a true freshman in 2019, the Georgia native played in four games, exclusively on special teams. His sophomore year, he made seven tackles, but he also made zero starts. What happened in 2021? Bertrand started 13 games for the Irish, recording a team-leading 102 tackles and becoming the first Irish player to record triple-digit stops since Te'von Coney did so in 2018. Talk about bursting onto the scene. Now, the 6-1, 230-pound defenseman has his senior season in front of him. What's the latest goal?
