Newsstand: Reigning national champ Notre Dame men’s lacrosse releases 2024 schedule
The reigning national champion Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team is only a couple weeks away from beginning its national title defense. The Fighting Irish begin the 2024 season on Valentine’s Day against Cleveland State.
There are several marquee matchups in store, including back-to-back weekends facing Midwest rivals Ohio State and Michigan in March. There is also a date with 2023 national championship game foe Duke on April 7 in addition to a regular season finale against Virginia. The Irish beat the Cavaliers 13-12 in overtime in last year’s national semifinals after losing to them 12-8 in the penultimate game of the regular season. Virginia also beat Notre Dame 15-10 on March 25.
The defeats at the hands of the Cavs were the Irish’s only two losses in 2023. Head coach Kevin Corrigan’s team, which includes wide receiver Jordan Faison and former Irish quarterback Tyler Buchner, has a lofty standard to live up to.
Here is a complete look at the Irish’s upcoming slate. Home games are in bold.
