“It’s a big one. When you talk about Isiah Canion, you have to first talk about his first offer from Indiana. It came just on Feb. 17 — a little over two months. A couple weeks later, he picks up an offer from Notre Dame on a visit, and a lot of Irish fans were thinking, ‘We’re going after this zero-star kid?’ It worked out. He has a pretty good offer list now considering he’s only been on the recruiting scene for a couple months.

“It’s a really nice get. At 6-3, 190 pounds, he’s the real deal. He plays quarterback, cornerback and receiver. He’s a do-it-all athlete for a pretty darn good Warner Robins team. He comes from Chansi Stuckey‘s backyard of Warner Robins, Ga. There’s a lot of excitement here, especially when you look at receiver recruiting lately for the Irish. It has a lot of people in South Bend fired up.”
Canion gives Notre Dame 11 commitments in the 2024 class and joins Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South wideout Cam Williams on the receiver pledge list. According to On3’s own rankings, Canion and Williams both rank as top-100 recruits. Canion is the nation’s No. 94 player and No. 15 wideout according to On3.
Per the On3 Industry Ranking, Canion is the No. 192 overall player and No. 34 receiver in the land. He’s also the No. 29 recruit from his home state of Georgia.
