Notes

• Notre Dame played five more defenders (23) than it did last week (18). Those players were sophomore cornerback Jaden Mickey, sophomore Vyper Junior Tuihalamaka, graduate safety Antonio Carter II, junior defensive tackle Jason Onye and freshman cornerback Christian Gray.

• After reportedly believing he could play 20-30 snaps per game in fall camp, the Irish coaching staff doesn’t trust Jaylen Sneed as much as it did then. Only one snap for the sophomore linebacker.

• Notre Dame blitzed considerably less than it had earlier in the season, but its pass rush had a strong game.

• Graduate linebacker Marist Liufau didn’t play as much as Notre Dame fans might be used to, deferring to fellow graduate LB JD Bertrand, who led the defense this week.
