Notre Dame wide receiver Rico Flores Jr. reacts after catching a successful 2-point conversion attempt in a 21-14 win over Duke on Saturday in Durham, N.C. (Larry Blankenship, special to Blue & Gold)

Here are the snap counts and participation chart for Notre Dame vs. Duke, as well as this season so far for the Irish. All data is via Pro Football Focus.

For some clarification: A pass snap, as PFF defines it, is running a route or dropping back to pass (this includes sacks and scrambles). A run snap equates to carrying the ball. Anyone who does not do those three things is either run blocking or pass blocking, depending on the play.

• Freshman tight end Cooper Flanagan officially burned his redshirt last week, playing special teams against Ohio State. This was his fourth game played on offense.

• The Irish had no choice but to play wide receivers Tobias Merriweather, Rico Flores Jr. and Chris Tyree as much as they did, but Saturday’s game showed the value of depth at the position. It’s not Notre Dame’s fault, obviously. Five out of nine scholarship wide receivers were injured.

• PFF does not have junior tight end Davis Sherwood on its snap counts on offense.
