For the first time ever, On3 has created a set of top 25 player recruiting rankings for the class of 2025. Notre Dame commit Leah Macy comes in at No. 15 in the hierarchy. For reference, she ranks No. 12 in ESPN’s HoopGurlz rankings.

On3’s rankings are derived from in-person evaluation, gathered data and film evaluation. AAU and international play will also factor into the rankings as updates arrive over time.

Macy is a four-star prospect according to the rankings. Only the top four players on the list earned five-star status, and only one of those recruits, forward Sienna Betts out of Aurora (Co.) Grandview High School, is currently committed to a college program. She’s pledged to play at UCLA.

Macy, who hails from Elizabethtown (Ky.) Bethlehem High School and plays for an AAU program in West Virginia, committed to Notre Dame on May 6 on the heels of averaging 24.9 points and 13.9 rebounds per game as a junior. She’s the Fighting Irish’s only commit in the class so far.

A 6-2 forward who just won a gold medal for Team USA — along with U.S. assistant coach Niele Ivey, Notre Dame’s head coach — at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup in Colombia, Macy models her game after that of current Notre Dame forward Maddy Westbeld.

She told Blue & Gold that when Westbeld leaves after the upcoming season, her fifth in South Bend, she wants to make it seem as if she never really went anywhere after all.

“We’re so versatile,” Macy said. “We could play inside and out. We’re not one-dimensional. That separates us from other people. Coach Ivey uses her in all aspects of her offense which I really enjoy seeing when I see her play. I can’t wait for Coach Ivey to use me that way.”

Here’s a full look at On3’s class of 2025 top 25 recruiting rankings. All of the prospects are four-stars except for the top four.
