With less than 100 days until the start of the 2022 college football season, Las Vegas’ South Point sports book has made public several betting lines for some of this fall’s games. Per Tim Murray of VSiN, there are six Notre Dame games included.

Here is an early look at those released with a quick note on the opponent and their recent history with Notre Dame.

Sept. 24: -5 at North Carolina

Last meeting: Notre Dame 44, UNC 34 (Oct. 30, 2021 South Bend, Ind.)

After a pair of September homes games against Marshall and Cal (of course after the game at Ohio State), the Irish head to Chapel Hill for the second time in three years. Notre Dame is a 5-point favorite at this time, despite major quarterback questions for UNC.

Oct. 8: -5 versus BYU (Las Vegas)

Last meeting: Notre Dame 23, BYU 13 (Nov. 23, 2013, South Bend, Ind.)

One of the top neutral site clashes of the season will go down in Las Vegas on Oct. 8, and the Irish are less than a touchdown favorite in this one. BYU is entering 2022 with a veteran team filled with pretty high-level talent, particularly for a Group of Five school. In total, 88 percent of the Cougars’ production from last season is back, including 97 percent on defense.

Oct. 15: -17 versus Stanford

Last meeting: Notre Dame 45, Stanford 14 (Nov. 27, 2021, Palo Alto, Calif.)

This line actually opened at -20 in favor of the Irish but dropped by a field goal within the first few hours. Notre Dame has had Stanford‘s number recently, topping the Cardinal three consecutive times. Quarterback Tanner McKee is a projected first-round pick in some 2023 NFL Draft mocks, but he’s going to need a lot of help from those around him to give Notre Dame a scare at home on Oct. 15.

Oct. 22: -33 versus UNLV

Last meeting: N/A

Notre Dame is a heavy favorite in the first ever meeting between the Irish and the Rebels. And with good reason. UNLV won just two games last season, although they did give a few Mountain West teams a scare. They have a couple of interesting players — including former top-10 quarterback recruit and Tennessee transfer Harrison Bailey — but their size overall is a massive mismatch against Notre Dame. The line reflects that.

Nov. 5: PK versus Clemson

Last meeting: Clemson 34, Notre Dame 10 (ACC

Like the Stanford game, this line moved in the initial hours after posting; Notre Dame started as a one-point favorite. It will continue to shift as questions surrounding both Notre Dame and Clemson‘s offenses are abundant, and one should expect this to be a very low scoring game at this point.

Nov. 26: -3 at USC

Last meeting: Notre Dame 31, USC 16 (Oct. 23, 2021, South Bend, Ind.)

Finally, the sixth game on the list (and the third one with a line that shifted initially) is the annual rivalry between the Irish and the Trojans. This one swung a couple of points in favor of USC after opening at Notre Dame -5. It remains unclear exactly what type of product new head coach Lincoln Riley will put on the field, especially given the Trojans brought in around 20 transfers this offseason.
