Two class of 2023 prospects who Notre Dame fans need to get more familiar with
On St. Patrick’s Day, Notre Dame extended around 70 new offers in the 2024 class as part of the staff’s “Pot of Gold” recruiting initiative. That was the news that dominated the headlines, but the Irish also offered Houston The Kinkaid School’s Micah Bell, which was also very important.
Bell ranks as the nation’s No. 382 overall prospect and No. 34 cornerback according to the 2023 On3 Consensus rankings. Blue & Gold logged a prediction Monday for the four-star prospect to end up choosing the Fighting Irish. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives Notre Dame a big lead for Bell at 95 percent.
“That’s obviously a pretty bold, high percentage for the world of recruiting and how things can change so quickly,” Blue & Gold’s Mike Singer said in his weekly appearance on WSBT Sportsbeat PM and on the Blue & Gold YouTube channel. “It goes to show that Notre Dame is in a really good position for him.
“To our knowledge, Bell has one official visit set up in the month of June, and it’s to Notre Dame. That’s also a pretty good sign.”

His official visit date falls on the weekend of June 17, which will be one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the calendar year for the Irish. It will be Bell’s second time in South Bend, as he also saw the Irish knock off USC last October.
“I loved the game atmosphere; that’s what I remembered the most,” Bell said about his previous ND visit. “And it was pretty cold.”

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy’s Jordan Hall, a native of Fredericksburg, Va. who ranks as the No. 229 recruit and No. 17 linebacker in the 2023 class per the On3 Consensus, will also officially visit Notre Dame for the June 17 weekend.
Notre Dame has linebacker commitments from Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean’s Drayk Bowen and Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic’s Preston Zinter. It appears that the Irish will take one more player at the position, and Hall is in the mix.
“Jaiden Ausberry seems like the player who the staff has zeroed in on and would really, really like to land,” Singer said. “And then you have a guy like Hall and his teammate Samuel M’Pemba. Hall is more of a MIKE and M’Pemba is a rover/vyper. He’s what I’d call a defensive athlete.”
Notre Dame currently has 13 commitments, a group that ranks No. 1 according to the 2023 Consensus Football Team Recruiting Rankings.
