On3 updated its rankings for class of 2023 prospects on Monday. On3’s rankings make up 25 percent of the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. BlueandGold.com detailed the changes that the On3’s update made to the Consensus on Monday.

247 Sports updated its own rankings Wednesday, and that platform also makes up 25 percent of the On3 Consensus, which then moved around some of the Irish commitments.

Notre Dame On3 Consensus update

Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep’s Keon Keeley moved from No. 10 to No. 7 in the On3 Consensus. He had a nice move up the 247 rankings, helping solidify his status as a five-star recruit. He’s also the No. 1 EDGE prospect nationally.

Denton (Texas) Guyer safety Peyton Bowen didn’t drop in the 247 update and actually moved up a few spots, but movement around him actually caused him to drop three spots in the Consensus ranking from No. 45 to No. 48. He remains the No. 4 safety in America.

Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean linebacker Drayk Bowen started the week as the No. 48 overall player and the No. 4 player per the On3 Consensus. After a couple tumbles from On3 and 247, Bowen is now the No. 61 prospect and remains the No. 4 linebacker.

It wasn’t a kind rankings week for Mentor (Ohio) High’s Brenan Vernon but his Consensus ranking only moved down two spots in total. He’s the No. 68 player nationally and No. 10 defensive lineman. Rivals lists Vernon as the nation’s No. 17 player, which is helping hold his top-70 ranking in the Consensus.

Las Vegas Bishop Gorman cornerback Justyn Rhett also took a tumble in the Consensus, falling 16 spots to No. 136 nationally.

Interestingly enough, despite a small fall in the 247 rankings, Concord (Calif.) De La Salle’s Cooper Flanagan actually moved from No. 215 to No. 198 in the On3 Consensus due to movement around him with other players. He’s ranked as the No. 12 tight end nationally.

The same is true with Irvington (N.J.) High safety Adon Shuler. Despite a small slide in 247’s update, Shuler moved up two spots in the On3 Consensus ranking to No. 184. He did move down one spot in the safety rankings to No. 14, though.

Miami Christopher Columbus running back Sedrick Irvin Jr. fell eight spots in the Consensus and currently sits as the No. 350 player and No. 24 prospect at his position.

Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic linebacker Preston Zinter fell 31 spots in the On3 Consensus to No. 502 nationally. ESPN rates Zinter as a four-star prospect, but because the website does not have him listed with any positional or state ranking yet, their ranking is not able to be logged to the On3 Consensus. Whenever he does receive the update, look for Zinter’s ranking to improve.
