When Stanford comes to town on Saturday, Notre Dame will welcome several recruiting targets to campus on both official and unofficial visits. Ahead of it, Blue & Gold reporters Kyle Kelly and Tyler Horka discussed those prospects, Chicagoland recruiting and the 2025 target board in Thursday’s recruiting update.

Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic four-star wide receiver Trent Mosley is the top 2026 class target expected on campus (19:52-26:14). Mosley is the son of former Notre Dame wide Emmett Mosley IV (1993-1996) and women’s soccer player Cindy (Daws) Mosley.
Trent’s brother, former three-star WR Emmett Mosley, is a freshman who plays for Stanford. He has 11 catches for 77 yards and 1 TD in 2024. Trent is the No. 155 overall player, No. 24 wide receiver nationally and No. 19 prospect in California in the 2026 class.
— Chicagoland recruiting travels (26:15-40:29). On Thursday night, Kelly saw Irish four-star EDGE commit Christopher Burgess Jr. (26:51-30:08). Chicago Simeon’s Burgess is the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 111 overall player, No. 15 EDGE nationally and No. 4 prospect in Illinois in the 2026 class.
