Watch: Talking Notre Dame 2025 WR recruiting, whether the Irish can have a top 10 class

The Notre Dame football program is about six weeks from finalizing its 2025 recruiting class. Yet, there are still a few spots the Fighting Irish would like to fill, including wide receiver. 

Blue & Gold recruiting reporter Kyle Kelly joined WSBT’s Darin Pritchett on Tuesday for a 15-minute update. They discussed 2025 wide receiver recruiting, where the Irish’s 23-commit class currently ranks and 2-3 prospects in 2026 that Kelly feels best about committing to Notre Dame.

Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic’s Burress and College Park (Ga.) Woodward Academy’s Bettis rank as the No. 77 and 138 wide receivers in the class, respectively. Greenville (Ga.) High’s Richardson, who plays quarterback and defensive back at this high school and was initially committed to USF as a DB, is the No. 271 overall player and No. 11 “athlete” in the class.

— Then, Kelly and Pritchett discuss where the Irish turn to add a fourth wide receiver to the class (4:32-7:30). As part of that conversation, Kelly expands on an update regarding Notre Dame’s pursuit of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star wide receiver Derek Meadows, who committed to LSU over the Irish on July 20 (7:31-8:42). Meadows is the No. 80 overall player and No. 11 wide receiver in 2025.
