What to know about Notre Dame
• The Fighting Irish are off to a flawless start record-wise and just beat then-No. 3 USC in Los Angeles last week, 74-61. They’ve gotten the job done with a limited roster, too, dressing just eight players against the Trojans and putting seven on the floor.
• Graduate senior forwards Maddy Westbeld and Liza Karlen have yet to make their season-debuts dealing with lower-body injuries, but the first action of the former’s last season in South Bend seems imminent. Blue & Gold would not be surprised to see Westbeld on the floor for the first time this season sometime soon.
• Guards Hannah Hidalgo and Olivia Miles are leading the way for the Irish. Miles was the first ACC Player of the Week of the season, and Hidalgo has won the last two honors for that award. Hidalgo is averaging 24.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 3.6 assists per game. Miles is at 18.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game.

• In the post, freshman center Kate Koval leads the country with 26 blocked shots. Graduate senior forward Liatu King is a double-double machine averaging 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Those two are more than keeping Notre Dame afloat until Westbeld and Karlen come back.
What to know about TCU
• The Horned Frogs are led by a trio of transfers all averaging at least 15 points per game. Former Oregon forward Sedona Prince leads the charge with 20.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocked shots per game. She fills up the stat sheet and will be a lot for Koval and King to handle. As for the guards, former Louisville and LSU star Hailey Van Lith is averaging 19.2 points, 7.0 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. Arizona transfer Madison Conner is averaging 15.8 points, 5.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds.
