Notre Dame’s commits in the 2023 and 2024 classes are in the thick of their respective senior and junior seasons, and this article takes a look what to watch for as the weekend approaches.

GAME OF THE WEEK

Going with an offensive lineman’s game isn’t a glamorous choice, but that’s what we’re rolling with this week. And this might be more of a shout out to the start of the 2022 season for Irish class of 2024 offensive lineman pledge Peter Jones and his team more than anything. They’ve been outstanding this fall.

Malvern (Pa.) Prep (5-0) hits the road Saturday to battle Philadelphia William Penn Charter (4-1). Malvern Prep has already knocked off Philadelphia Imhotep Charter and Philadelphia Roman Catholic — the No. 3 and No. 7 teams respectively in Pennsylvania per MaxPreps. And Malvern Prep ranks No. 2 in the state.

TOP PERFORMER FROM LAST WEEK

It’s tough to choose just one player here because there were some impressive performances, but I’m going with Austin (Texas) Westlake wide receiver and Irish 2023 pledge Jaden Greathouse. Him catching 5 passes for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns is nothing out of the ordinary, but the major achievement for Greathouse was passing the 200 career reception mark.

Greathouse should go down as one of the best high school receivers the state of Texas has ever seen, considering his production and the fact that he’s only been a part of one loss and will likely win a fourth state title this winter.

WHERE WILL MIKE SINGER BE?

As I write this article, I’m in route to the Tampa (Fla.) area where I’ll see key Notre Dame class of 2024 wide receiver target Bredell Richardson. The 6-0, 190-pounder ranks as the nation’s No. 83 overall player and No. 16 wide receiver according to the 2024 On3 Consensus. Richardson visited South Bend over the summer and remains high on the Irish.
