On3 Rankings Update: Notre Dame EDGE commit Dominik Hulak debuts in On300
For the first time since July 8, On3 updated its 2025 class player rankings on Monday. Nine Notre Dame football recruits cracked the top 300, including EDGE Dominik Hulak, who debuted as a four-star prospect in the On300.
Hulak received the most notable bump from On3 director of scouting and rankings Charles Power and national scout Cody Bellaire. The Elmhurst (Ill.) IC Catholic product is now the No. 287 overall player, No. 26 EDGE nationally and No. 11 prospect in Illinois in the 2025 class. On3 previously ranked Hulak as the No. 40 EDGE in the country and the No. 11 recruit in Illinois.
In addition to Hulak, offensive tackle Will Black (No. 2), quarterback Deuce Knight (No. 32), safety JaDon Blair (No. 54), tight end James Flanigan (No. 92), cornerbacks Dallas Golden (No. 104) and Mark Zackery (No. 122), EDGE Christopher Burgess Jr. (No. 173) and defensive lineman Joseph Reiff (No. 277) all claimed spots in the On300.
Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary’s Black is Notre Dame’s lone five-star prospect. However, if Lucedale (Miss.) George County’s Knight remains the No. 32 overall player, he will likely also receive five stars.
On3’s rankings formula is meant to emulate the NFL Draft. A five-star prospect is considered a potential first-round draft pick. There are 32 NFL teams — and 32 first-round picks — so typically, only 32 five-star recruits in each cycle. The other 268 prospects are projected as eventual NFL Draft picks or priority undrafted free agents.
