COLUMBUS — Set your calendars and plan your travel: the Ohio State football schedule for next season is officially out.

The Buckeyes football program released its full slate of games for the 2025 season along with the Big Ten; all 18 teams in the league now have their 12-game slates in ink for next football season.

Of course, Ohio State kicks off its 2025 campaign with a massive nonconference showdown against SEC powerhouse Texas. The two historic brands will meet in the Horseshoe for the first time since 2005 — and first time overall since the 2009 Fiesta Bowl. Texas holds a 2-1 all-time record against the Buckeyes, and Ohio State will make a return trip to Austin in 2026.

The Buckeyes’ other two nonconference games will immediately follow the Texas showdown. Those will be against Grambling on Sept. 6 and in-state foe and defending MAC champions Ohio on Sept. 13.

Following an idle week, the Buckeyes will then dive into conference action with a trip to the Pacific Northwest for a showdown against Washington on Sept. 27 before returning home for a home tilt against Minnesota to open October.

The month of October and into early November won’t be easy for Ohio State; following that game against Minnesota, the Buckeyes will hit the road for back-to-back away games at Illinois (Oct. 11) and Wisconsin (Oct. 18) before a second idle week. On the other side of that idle week, they’ll take on Penn State to open November action before heading to Purdue (Nov. 8), then returning home for two straight games in the Horseshoe against UCLA (Nov. 15) and Rutgers (Nov. 22).

And to end the season, Ohio State will travel to Michigan to try snapping a four-game rivalry losing streak against the Wolverines. That game, on Nov. 29, will be massive for the program — per usual.

No dates and/or times have been set for any of the 12 games. It’s safe to expect Ohio State vs. Michigan will take place at Noon on FOX for the Nov. 29 date. As for the rest of the games, they’re unknown for now.
