BREAKING: Top cornerback target Jordan Thomas commits to Ohio State

COLUMBUS — Ohio State has pulled another talented defensive back out of New Jersey.
Four-star athlete Jordan Thomas out Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic has committed to the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Thomas chose Ohio State over Michigan, Notre Dame and others.
Thomas, the No. 185 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings, visited Ohio State for its first spring practice on Monday, March 17. He also returned to Columbus on Saturday, April 5 for the Buckeyes student appreciation day practice.
Thomas is the 13th commitment for head coach Ryan Day in the 2026 class. He joins a talented defensive back class that includes four-star Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic safety Blaine Bradford, four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School safety Simeon Caldwell and four-star Avon (Ohio) cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon. The Buckeyes also have four-star Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy linebacker CJ Sanna committed at the second level.
Aside from those five, all of Ohio State’s eight other commitments this cycle are on the offensive side of the ball. Five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. leads the way. The Buckeyes also have Four-star Inglewood (Calif) Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, four-star Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts and four-star Southlake Carroll (Texas) wide receiver Brock Boyd committed at receiver. Three-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School tight end Corbyn Fordham is the only other skill player in the class.
