Buckeyes women's hoops team earns No. 4 seed in NCAA Tournament

COLUMBUS — The Ohio State women’s basketball team is once again going dancing.
After being upset as a No. 2 seed in the second round of the tournament last season, Kevin McGuff and the Buckeyes will now look to make run this March.
Ohio State is officially a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Buckeyes are in the Birmingham Regional, and they’ll host the first- and second-round matchups. They’ll play No. 13 seed Montana State — with the winner advancing to play the winner of No. 4 seed Tennessee and No. 12 seed USF.
The Buckeyes finished the regular season with a 25-6 record — including a 13-5 conference record. Ohio State heads into the tournament on a one-game losing streak, however, after a 75-46 blowout loss to UCLA in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals. The Bruins went on to beat USC in the finals to win the Big Ten Tournament. Both teams earned No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.
Ohio State started the season 17-0 before falling to Penn State at the Bryce Joran Center on Jan. 19. They then won three straight before dropping both games against UCLA and USC on their West Coast swing. The Buckeyes also lost their regular season finale at Maryland but rebounded by beating Iowa in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament.
