Chat Wrap: Recapping Ohio State recruiting chat Aug. 6

COLUMBUS — Ohio State recruiting is alive and well. Even if the recruiting calendar is about to turn to a dead period, there are still things to discuss, ask, ponder, evaluate and conclude.
Every Tuesday, Lettermen Row starts a recruiting chat thread in the Lettermen Lounge message board. As Tuesday ends, we recap some of the bigger conversations started by our subscribers.
From Johnahern: Obvious first question, where do you think we are with everything on David Sanders Jr.?
Mick Walker: I think things are about the same as they were a few weeks ago.
I know Tennessee has the buzz and they were his last visit but I don’t think that changes much.
Both schools pitches are still the same. Ohio State has the best plan for David off the field, in my opinion, but who knows how much that impacts things.
From Mikeco: Any update on Messiah Delhomme’s impending decision? Seems like if we’re unsure if we are really pursuing at this point then we probably have our answer with his decision coming up so quickly
MW: I think Ohio State leads and I don’t think they would have hosted him for an official visit if they weren’t willing to take his commitment.

I also don’t think taking him would effect their pursuits of Trey McNutt down the line.
From Wayne2499@: Where do we stand with Naeem Offord?
MW: Ohio State has remained confident about keeping Na’eem Offord in the class. I have not heard anything about Ohio State losing confidence so I think things are still good.
Obviously, Auburn has a level of confidence it flipping him but they also did with Julian Lewis and that died down.
