Buckeyes need strong response, bounce-back second half of season from Denzel Burke
EUGENE, Ore. — Ohio State senior cornerback Denzel Burke picked the wrong night to have the worst night of his career. Well, he certainly didn't pick a night to give up eight catches for 179 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He expects to be a lockdown cornerback every time he takes the field. More often than not, he's just that. Saturday night, he was everything but that. Burke is the most confident player on the Ohio State roster. He's a leader of the defense, on the field and from a vocal perspective. In fact, he was the first Buckeyes player this offseason to utter the phrase 'natty or bust.' Burke is a really good player who had a bad night at Oregon. And how he responds, both from a vocal perspective and with his play, will be key moving forward for this team that still has every goal within reach.
