DraftMates: Play fantasy football with Lettermen Row, support the 2nd & 7 Foundation
Hey there, we’re DraftMates.
If you’re not familiar with us, the Lettermen Row senior writer, Austin Ward, had a great sit-down with our CEO/founder Matt Golis earlier this week. We’re excited to partner with Lettermen Row to bring some fun fundraising to the site, and maybe lend some fantasy advice along the way.
In short, we’re a mobile fundraising platform that offers you a way to give back to charity while playing fantasy sports. Pretty cool, right? We hope you’ll join in the fun and help us compete for a cause.
Note: you can download the DraftMates app here for iOS and Android, and be sure to join the Lettermen Row league benefitting the 2nd and 7 Foundation.
We’ve got some thoughts and opinions heading into Week 3.
Quarterback: Andy Dalton, Cincinnati
Yes, we know. You’ve heard the Dalton hype for years.
And you’re probably not ready to jump on board again – but hear us out.
He’s been terrific these first two weeks with the Bengals out to a hot 2-0 start, and is on the road this week against a Carolina Panthers defense that gave up 31 points last week and saw three Atlanta receivers rack up over 11 yards per catch. You can bet the Bengals will be throwing the ball this weekend.

Running back: James Conner, Pittsburgh
The longer La’Veon Bell sits out, the better value Conner becomes.
Because the Steelers quickly found themselves getting blown out last week at home to Kansas City, they didn’t get Conner the ball nearly as much as they did Week 1 against Cleveland. Expect that to change against Tampa Bay this weekend as Pittsburgh hopes its offense on the field and Ryan Fitzpatrick on the sideline.
Wide receiver: Tyreek Hill, Kansas City
This Chiefs offense with Patrick Mahomes at the helm is fun to watch.
That means plenty of targets and receptions for Hill.
Mahomes racked up 326 passing yards and threw for six touchdowns – one of those to Hill – in the Chiefs’ Week 2 win over the Steelers. Don’t count on it slowing down anytime soon.
Tight end: Jimmy Graham, Packers
Don’t screw this up. Take the guy who’s going to be catching passes from Aaron Rodgers.
