COLUMBUS — The Buckeyes traditionally recruit the top prospects in the country and certainly within the state of Ohio. This cycle is no exception and Ohio State already has double-digit commits following a big spring.

On3 released its updated On300 for the 2026 recruiting class which included eight Buckeye commitments and even more targets.

Lettermen Row takes a few moments to look at the eight members of the Ohio State 2026 class in the On300.

Chris Henry Jr.

Four-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. fell a few more spots in the updated 2026 On300. On3 now has Henry Jr. ranked as the No. 30 overall prospect and No. 5 wide receiver in the 2026 class. Prior to the this update, On3 had Henry ranked as the No. 28 overall prospect in the No. 5 wide receiver.

Regardless, the 6-foot-5, 185-pound Henry is still the top target for Ohio State offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach Brian Hartline in the 2026 class. Henry recently shut down his recruitment and cancelled his official visits to Miami, Oregon and USC.

Blaine Bradford

Another Ohio State commit that fell a handful of spots is four-star Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic safety Blaine Bradford. He slots in as the No. 47 overall prospect and No. 2 safety in updated 2026 On300. Bradford was previously the No. 43 overall prospect and No. 2 safety in the 2026 class, according to On3.

Bradford was a target for Ohio State safeties coach Matt Guerrieri in the 2026 class. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Bradford committed to the Buckeyes on March 31 following a weekend visit. He returned to Columbus on April 12 for the spring game.

Sam Greer

Four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive tackle Sam Greer climbed two spots to the No. 97 overall in updated 2026 On300. On3 ranks the 6-foot-8, 290-pound Greer as the No. 10 tackle prospect in the 2026 cycle.

Greer was an early top target for new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen. He committed to the Buckeyes on April 25 following his second spring visit to Ohio State.

Simeon Caldwell

Four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School safety Simeon Caldwell fell out of the top-100 in updated 2026 On300. Caldwell ranks as the No. 117 overall prospect and No. 11 safety in the 2026 class, according to On3. He previously ranked as the No. 96 overall prospect and No. 7 safety.

Ohio State landed the 6-foot-1.5, 195-pound Caldwell on April 3 following a mutli-day visit to Columbus. He also returned to campus for the Buckeyes spring game on April 12.

Jakob Weatherspoon

Four-star Avon (Ohio) athlete Jakob Weatherspoon rose up to the No. 129 overall prospect and No. 13 safety in the latest 2026 On300 update. On3 previously had Weatherspoon slotted in as the No. 133 overall prospect in the 2026 class.

The 5-foot-11, 172-pound Weatherspoon is a versatile secondary prospect. He played free safety as a junior but Ohio State recruited him to play cornerback. Weatherspoon was a top target for cornerbacks coach Tim Walton since the summer. He visited multiple times this spring including for the Buckeyes spring game on April 12.

Jaeden Ricketts

On3 continues dropped four-star Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts slightly in the updated 2026 On300. The 6-foot-1, 187-pound Ricketts is now the No. 213 overall prospect in the 2026 class. He was previously ranked as the No. 192 overall prospect.

Ricketts earned an offer from Brian Hartline and the Buckeyes following a strong camp performance last summer. He then committed to the Ohio State on Nov. 16 following the win over Northwestern at Wrigley Field. Ricketts has made several trips to Columbus since his commitment.

Brock Boyd

Ohio State flipped four-star Southlake Carroll (Texas) wide receiver Brock Boyd from TCU last week and he continues to be an On3 outlier. Boyd ranks as the No. 223 overall prospect in the updated 2026 On300 which was a one spot improvement from his previous ranking.

Boyd had been committed to TCU since July, 2024 and showed no signs of wavering until Brian Hartline stopped at Southlake Carroll during the January contact period. Hartline offered Boyd on Jan. 28 and less than two months later he visited Ohio State for the first time. Now Boyd is a Buckeye.

CJ Sanna

Four-star Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy linebacker CJ Sanna made his On300 debut in Monday’s update. Sanna is now the No. 279 overall prospect and No. 20 linebacker in the 2026 class, according to On3.

Linebackers coach James Laurinaitis offered the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Sanna after stopping by Olentangy during the January contact period. He then visited Ohio State twice this spring and committed to the Buckeyes shortly after his second visit.
