Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Na'eem Offord flips from Ohio State to Oregon
COLUMBUS — Ohio State has one of the best recruiting classes in the 2025 cycle, but the Buckeyes have lost one of their highest-ranked commitments on National Signing Day.
Five-Star Plus+ Birmingham (Ala) Parker cornerback Na’eem Offord has flipped his commitment from the Buckeyes to the Oregon Ducks. Offord is the No. 12 overall prospect, No. 1 cornerback and the No. 1 prospect in Alabama according to the On3 Industry Rankings. On3 ranks him as the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 2 cornerback in the 2025 class.
Offord committed to Ohio State on Feb. 4 but he continued to visit other schools. He took official visits to Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and Oregon in June. He also took an official visit to Florida earlier this season. Additionally, Offord visited Auburn for several games this season and he visited Oregon on Oct. 12 when the Ducks hosted Ohio State.
Ohio State and cornerbacks coach Tim Walton fought to keep Offord in the class and got him on campus for the Michigan game. The Buckeyes were not able to hold off the Ducks, however.
