Five-Star Plus+ OT, No. 1 prospect Jackson Cantwell schedules multi-day visit to Ohio State

COLUMBUS – Ohio State opens up spring practice in less than a month on March 17. The Buckeyes will welcome hundreds of high school prospects to campus throughout the spring.
Five-Star Plus+ Nixa (Mo) offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell is the most recent prospect to schedule a spring visit to Ohio State. Cantwell, the No. 1 overall prospect in On3 Industry Rankings, announced on Wednesday morning that he will take a multi-day unofficial visit to Ohio State from March 20-21. He will then visit Michigan on March 22 and prior to those visits he will see Miami from March 17-18.
The 6-foot-7, 305-pound Cantwell made his first trip to Columbus on Dec. 14, 2024.
“It was pretty cool,” Cantwell told Lettermen Row. “I got to see everything. Obviously, I’ve watched some Ohio State games over the years so just getting to see exactly how they do some of that stuff, getting to see the facilities, getting to meet the coaches and that was just kind of the highlights of it. I mean just getting to have like a first visit thing. It was nice.”
Cantwell was the first prospect that Ohio State head coach Ryan Day visited in January following the Buckeyes National Championship festivities. He and former offensive line coach Justin Frye stopped by Nixa High School on Jan. 28 to visit with Cantwell, his father and his high school coach.

Frye has since left the Buckeyes to become the offensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals. New offensive line coach Tyler Bowen has continued to recruit Cantwell since being hired.
Cantwell dropped a top-six of Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, Missouri, Ohio State and Miami on Feb. 2. The son of two former USA Olympians, Cantwell is perhaps the most coveted prospect in America and holds an offer from just about every program in the country.
