Four-star RB Deshonne Redeaux includes Ohio State in his initial top 12
COLUMBUS — Ohio State is one of the top teams in college football and as a result, the Buckeyes are always in the mix for blue-chip prospects across the country. Monday was another example of that as a highly-ranked prospect once again included Ohio State in his top schools list.
Despite the fact that he has yet to visit Columbus, 2026 four-star Los Angeles (Calif.) Oaks Christian running back Deshonne Redeaux included Ohio State in his top 12 schools. Other programs in contention for Redeaux include: USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Texas, Notre Dame, Michigan and Oklahoma
The 5-foot-9.5, 180-pound Redeaux is the No. 63 overall prospect and the No. 7 running back in the On3 Industry Rankings.
Ohio State running backs coach Carlos Locklyn offered Redeaux while he was at Oregon and offered him again this spring after arriving in Columbus.

The Buckeyes are in good standing with several other running back prospects in the in the 2026 cycle. Four-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna running back Derrek Cooper, four-star De Kalb (Miss.) Kemper County running back Damarius Yates, four-star Buford (Ga.) athlete Tyriq Green and four-star Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes running back Carsyn Baker all camped at Ohio State in June. Ohio State has also offered all four and Carlos Locklyn is in consistent communication with all of them.
Ohio State have two running backs committed to their 2025 class right now. The class consists of four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela-St. Joseph running back Bo Jackson and three-star Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep running back Isaiah West.
Carlos Locklyn has also shown an interest in taking a third running back in the 2025 class. Four-star Montgomery (Ala.) Carver running back Anthony Rogers and four-star Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School running back Shekai Mills-Knight are candidates for that third spot.
