COLUMBUS – There were several big-time matchups in week nine of the Ohio high school football season. No. 15 Winton Woods at No. 7 Anderson was named Lettermen Row game of the week.

The Raptors ultimately earned a 31-17 win over the Warriors and clinched at least a share of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference title.

GAME RECAP

Winton Woods opened the scoring with a 33-yard touchdown pass from 2026 quarterback Bryshawn Brown to 2027 wide receiver Chris Mathis halfway through the first quarter.

Anderson then responded with a touchdown drive of their own to tie the game up. The Raptors’ 2025 quarterback Justice Burnam hit UCF commit and three-star tight end Caden Piening for the a 25-yard touchdown pass that made it 7-7.

The Warriors weren’t down in the first quarter, however. Brown led them down the field before handing it off to 2027 running back Isaiah Garrett for a 1-yard touchdown to make it 14-7 heading into the second quarter.

From there it was all Anderson. A quarterback keeper by Burnam made it 14-14 with less than three minutes left in the first half. The Raptors defense then picked off Brown on the following possession to get the ball back to Burnam and the offense. A few plays later Burma connected with 2025 three-star wide receiver Trace Jallick for a 20-yard touchdown pass that gave Andersson a 21-14 lead at the half.

The two teams then traded field goals in the third quarter to make it 24-17 heading into the final frame.

Halfway through the fourth quarter Burnam then connected with Jallick again for an 80-yard touchdown that sealed the win for Anderson. The Raptors improved to 9-0 for the first time since 2009 while Winton Woods fell to 8-1.

Player of the Game: Trace Jallick

The 6-foot-3 and 190-pound Jallick proved to be the X-Factor for Anderson in their win over Winton Woods. Jallick finished the game with nine receptions for 160 yards and touchdowns.

What’s Next?

No. 7 Anderson closes the season out with a trip Loveland (Ohio) as they look to win the outright Eastern Cincinnati Conference title. The Massey Ratings predicts the Raptors to win 42-7.
