12/21/2024 10:09:39 PMThe Buckeyes defense stopped Tennessee on 4th-and-6th to force a turnover on downs. Ohio State took over on the Volunteers 39-yard line and scored again extend its lead in the fourth quarter.
Running back TreVeyon Henderson broke free on 2nd-and-10 for a 22-yard touchdown. Ohio State leads Tennessee 42-10 with under 11 minutes left to play.
Buckeyes take 35-10 lead into the fourth quarter
12/21/2024 09:52:42 PMOhio State went 81 yards on nine plays on its final drive of the third quarter to take a 35-10 lead over Tennessee. Will Howard and the Ohio State wide receivers led the Buckeyes down the field before Quinshon Judkins ran it in from one yard out for the touchdown.
Ohio State opens second half with another touchdown to Jeremiah Smith
12/21/2024 09:26:20 PMJust like the first half, a touchdown from Will Howard to Jeremiah Smith opened Ohio State’s scoring in the second half.
The Buckeyes went 43 yards on five plays to get down to the Volunteers 22-yard line. On the next play, Howard dropped back and hit Smith for a 22-yard touchdown for his second score of the game. Ohio State leads Tennessee 28-10 in the third quarter.
Volunteers cut Buckeyes lead to 21-10 before the half
12/21/2024 08:56:50 PMTennessee went 79 yards on 16 plays on its final drive of the first half to cut the Buckeyes lead to 21-10. The Volunteers capped off the drive with a two-yard touchdown run from quarterback Nico Iamaleava.
Ohio State went 37 yards in 20 seconds to set kicker Jayden Fielding up with a 56-yard attempt before halftime. Fielding’s attempt fell short, however, so the Buckeyes lead remained 21-10.
Tennessee connects on 36-yard field goal for first points
12/21/2024 08:25:33 PMThe Volunteers picked off Ohio State quarterback Will Howard in the end zone to get the ball back then scored their first points of the game on the ensuing drive.
Tennessee went 62 yards on nine plays but were unable to find the end zone, however. The Volunteers were forced to settle for a 36-yard field goal from kicker Max Gilbert to cut the Buckeyes lead to 21-3.
Ohio State takes 21-0 lead in the first quarter

On the seventh play of the drive, Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson took it 29 yards to the hose to put the Buckeyes up 21-0 over Tennessee in the first quarter. The Ohio State offense has 178 total yards after three drives.
Buckeyes extend lead to 14-0 on Quinshon Judkins touchdown
12/21/2024 07:35:04 PMThe Buckeyes defense forced a 3-and-out on the Volunteers opening possession. Ohio State then extended its lead a few plays later.
A 40-yard pass from Will Howard to wide receiver Emeka Egbuka set Ohio State up at the Tennessee six-yard line. Two plays later running back Quinshon Judkins punched it in to put the Buckeyes up 14-0 in the first quarter.
Ohio State takes 7-0 lead on long touchdown to Jeremiah Smith
12/21/2024 07:19:34 PMTennessee won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. As a result, the Buckeyes got the ball to start and they put points on the board.
A face mask penalty against Tennessee extended the Buckeyes drive. Three plays later Ohio State quarterback Will Howard hit wide receiver Jeremiah Smith for a 37-yard touchdown. Ohio State took a 7-0 lead over Tennessee following the opening possession.
