COLUMBUS — Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler has the reputation of being a strong recruiter. The Buckeyes signed one of the top recruiting class in the Big Ten in 2025. They also have a pair of talented prospects committed in the 2026 class and are already recruiting a few of the top prospects in 2027.

On3 released its updated 100 for the 2027 recruiting class which included the only two prospects that Ohio State has offered in that cycle and a few more players with ties to the program.

Lettermen Row breaks down the Buckeyes top targets in the updated 2027 On3 100.

Four-star small forward Baba Oladotun out of Silver Spring (Md.) James Hubert Blake is one of two prospects that Ohio State has offered in the 2027 class. The 6-foot-8, 165-pound Oladotun is the No. 9 overall prospect in the updated 2027 On3 100. Oladotun is now the No. 5 small forward and No. 1 prospect in Maryland, according to On3.

The Buckeyes, led by Jake Diebler, are battling blue blood programs for Oladotun.

Ohio State has also offered four-star Atlanta (Ga.) Overtime Elite power forward Lincoln Cosby, the No. 10 in the updated 2027 On3 100. The 6-foot-9 and 205-pound Cosby currently attends Overtime Elite in Atlanta but he considers Cincinnati his hometown. On3 now ranks Crosby as the No. 6 small forward and No. 1 prospect in Georgia. Crosby has already built a close relationship with Diebler.

Aside from the two prospects that Ohio State has offered, four-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei shooting guard Demarcus Henry is the next highest ranked prospect in the updated 2027 On3 100 with ties to the Buckeyes. Henry, the No. 30 overall prospect, is the younger brother of five-star wide receiver and Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. Both are the younger brothers of Ohio State women’s basketball player Senini Henry. The Buckeyes have not offered the youngest Henry but Jake Diebler has been watching the 6-foot-5 shooting guard since the summer.

Two Ohioans were also included in the updated 2027 On3 100: Three-star center Ty Lewis out of Toledo (Ohio) Maumee Valley Country Day School and three-star guard Isaiah Mack-Russell out of Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic. The 7-foot Lewis is the No. 92 overall prospect in the 2027 class, according to On3. As for Mack-Russell, he is the No. 95 overall prospect. The Buckeyes have been evaluating the 6-foot-3, 160-pound Mack-Russell since June.
